Recommended Details and Frequencies of Fire Safety Inspections

The Fire Services Act does not prescribe a specific list of items that must be inspected as part of the regular system of inspection. The Fire Commissioner recommends the LAFC to look into available resources to establish their own baseline for their inspection program.

The Fire Inspection for LAFC course covers a broad range of items that should be inspected on a regular basis.

Some fire authorities or agencies, such as CGI, have developed a checklist of items in a fire safety inspection.
